Petition to Rep. Josh Riley (19th District):
As the United Nations adds Israel to a blacklist of nations after its recent annual report documenting sexual violence in conflicts worldwide, citing Israel’s prisons ‘engaged in systematic torture, rape, sexual humiliation, and degrading treatment of detained Palestinians’, we demand you take immediate action to denounce these actions, advocate for accountability, and pursue urgent policy measures to protect Palestinian human rights as our elected federal representative.
We call on all people of conscience to sign our petition to:
- Build pressure against our elected federal representative, Josh Riley, who directly influences foreign policy.
- Center Palestine as a political issue
- Break the stigma of supporting Palestinian human rights
- Perpetuate a shifting culture that promotes racial justice and human dignity for all

At 2pm on Sunday July 12th, join us at the First Baptist Church in Downtown Ithaca for a presentation by acclaimed Palestinian poet, journalist, and Pulitzer Prize winner, Mosab Abu Toha, as he shares his experiences witnessing and documenting the genocide in Gaza.
Suggested donation of $10 for entry. All money raised will be directly distributed to families in Gaza.

Despite the so-called “ceasefire” the people of Gaza are still experiencing genocide on a daily basis. The crossings, which never opened to their promised levels after the “ceasefire,” have been again shut down following the US and Israeli war of choice on Iran and Lebanon. There remains a vastly inadequate supply of food, medicine, building supplies and all that is needed to support life entering Gaza.
